Posted by Freelander | Filed under Howto Articles
Here’s a quick guide that explains how to back up your games downloaded using EA Download Manager Version 7 and above. Thanks to Michael Levis, Product Manager of EADM, for pointing me to these instructions, however, note that this procedure was not tested by EA or by me at the time this article was written.

It’s here! Version 1.4.0 of B3 is available for download!

Medal of Honor and OpenArena Supported Now!
What changed? First of all B3 will support two new games:
- The Medal of Honor (2010) and the Quake 3 based Open Arena (0.8.1)!
- We’ve built the MOH parser on the frostbite parser framework that we developed for BattleField Bad Company 2. You can expect maintenance releases while the actual retail servers are deployed. This is a first draft for the MOH 2010 game. Cheers Bakes! I think you did a great job on this one!
- The Open Arena parser was a community addition by Grosbedo and we’re happy that he joined the dev team.

Installing Python 2.6 on Debian Lenny
Posted by Freelander | Filed under Howto Articles
Debian has always been my number one linux choice due to its stability on a server. Well, I’m not in rush to test new software packages on my production server as security is also very important for me. However, I recently needed to install Python 2.6 and python-mysqldb on my Debian Lenny box. After some googling I’ve found the best and trouble free method as follows:

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Stats Widget
Posted by Freelander | Filed under Plugins
Version 1.2 Released!
This is a WordPress Widget I wrote for Battlefield Bad Company 2 players to show their short stats on their WordPress blog pages. Stats are powered by bfbcs.com. Unfortunately they are not real time, so if the plugin doesn’t show your stats, I recommend you to go to bfbcs.com, search your player name and click add queue button to get yourself added into update queue, although the script itself should put you into the update queue automatically.
Installation
Installation is very simple like any other WordPress widgets or plugins.
- Upload the bfbc2-stats directory along with all its files to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
